To understand the present we must understand the past. The next page will be a short history of our company.
Emerald Computers, Inc., is an Arizona corporation, founded in March of 1999 by Jason Dragon. Jason started his first computer business, JDTec Computers, in 1993 in Flagstaff, Arizona. In 1998, Jason and his business moved to Phoenix, Arizona. At that time he quickly grew it into a successful home-based business. In March of 1999 he knew that the future of the company would be a retail store and Incorporated Emerald Computers for that purpose. Jason continued to grow the business and in June of 2000 sold all of the tangible assets of JDTec Computers to Emerald Computers for stock in Emerald Computers. Emerald Computers has always run on a small but growing budget. And over the last 5 years had grown into what it is today.
Our first location opened in June of 2000 and we moved to our current headquarters in February of 2003. This location serves as a manufacturing location, retail location, inventory storage, our offices, our service facility and our base of marketing. In October of 2004 we opened our second location store in the Biltmore area of Phoenix. After 16 months in that location we decided to change direction and sold that store to Red 7 Computers.
Emerald Computers has grown over the last 6 years by leaps and bounds. We currently have stores that are profitable and successful and in great, convenient locations. We have created a good reputation of having good service and prices. We have developed a relationship with over 3,000 happy customers. We have created brand awareness where thousands of people plan to buy their next computer from us. We have created systems for duplicating our success.
